
Guido Micheli
Guido J.L. Micheli holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, a PhD in Management Engineering, and a Master of Arts in Flute Performance. He is Full Professor of Industrial Plants Design and Management at Politecnico di Milano – School of Management.
Formerly a member of the Board of the PhD Programme in Management Engineering at Politecnico di Milano, he currently serves as Associate Dean for Quality, Accreditations and Faculty at POLIMI Graduate School of Management. He is also Associate Editor of the journal Safety Science and acts as a technical and strategic advisor to Fondazione Leadership in Health and Safety (since 2023) and to the MADE Competence Center (since 2022) on Occupational Health and Safety and Ergonomics.
Since 2024, he has also been serving as an advisor to the Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry of the Senate of the Italian Republic on Occupational Health and Safety.
He is the author of more than 140 papers, including contributions published in Safety Science, International Journal of Industrial Ergonomics, Journal of Purchasing and Supply Management, International Journal of Physical Distribution and Logistics Management, International Journal of Production Research, International Journal of Production Economics, Management Decision, Journal of Cleaner Production, Production Planning & Control.
