POLIMI Graduate School of Management supports Pride Month: celebrating equality and inclusion
With passion and purpose, our school is joining the celebration of Pride Month ̶ a time of reflection and support for the LGBTQ+ community ̶ embracing the values of inclusion and equality and supporting the full expression of authenticity and identity.
With our daily commitment to promoting these values and being proud of belonging to Politecnico di Milano, we wish to support Pride Week 2023: the programme of events organised by the University starting from June 19 (more info).
On Monday, June 19, the Politecnico di Milano Careers Service will organise a meeting with companies to discuss and share good practices regarding inclusion and equal opportunities, with a focus on LGBTI+. After that, in the late afternoon of the same day, the theme of homoparenting will be addressed with the special participation of Lella Costa.
In addition, a round table on the application of Alias protocols in universities will be held on 22 June.
Also for this year, 2023, Politecnico di Milano has renewed its patronage of Pride in Milan and given patronage to Pride in Lecco for the first time.
These events represent an opportunity to explore the challenges that the LGBTQ+ community still faces today and to promote a culture of mutual respect. Through open dialogue, we can all help to create a better future where equality and inclusion are the fundamental pillars of society.
As we celebrate Pride Month, we renew our commitment to developing an inclusive learning environment, where individuals feel free to be themselves without fear of judgment or discrimination.
“As an educational institution, it is our duty to support equality and inclusion in all their forms,” said Federico Frattini, Dean of POLIMI Graduate School of Management. “Pride Month gives us the opportunity to reaffirm our commitment to promoting a culture that embraces diversity as a driving force for innovation and growth.”
We therefore invite all our students, staff, alumni, and our entire community to participate in the events organised by our University during Pride Month. We support the LGBTQ+ community, recognising the importance of creating a future in which each individual can fully express their authenticity. Together, we can make a difference and build a better future for all.
