The business school of Politecnico di Milano is the only Italian institution in the Financial Times ranking Once again this year, POLIMI Graduate School of Management , part of the School of Management of Politecnico di Milano, has received important international recognition for the quality of its educational offer as the only Italian institution to feature in the Financial Times Online MBA 2026 Ranking , a prestigious classification of the best online master’s degrees in business administration. On 10 and 11 April 2026 , Milan will be hosting the only Italian leg of the HSIL Hackathon 2026 – Building High-Value Health Systems: Leveraging AI , the international event promoted by the Health Systems Innovation Lab at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and dedicated to developing innovative solutions for the future of healthcare systems through artificial intelligence . Thanks to the collaboration between the University of Milan, Politecnico di Milano, Federated Innovation @MIND, Human Technopole , and the Italian Society of Artificial Intelligence in Medicine (SIIAM) , the Lombardy capital has been selected as the official hub for the project, which simultaneously involves numerous partner institutions around the world. The initiative will take place at Fondazione Triulza, MIND – Milano Innovation District , a national reference point for innovation, research and technologies applied to healthcare. A global hackathon to rethink healthcare systems Each year, the HSIL Hackathon brings together hundreds of teams from across the globe to develop high-impact technological solutions , with a focus on innovative models for managing and improving healthcare systems . During the two-day event, participants will be asked to: devise and develop adesign concept; build a project prototype. The winning teams of the individual hubs will then access the Venture Incubation Program , a mentorship, training and project consolidation program, designed to guide the most promising ideas towards realisation. The Master’s programme at the business school of Politecnico di Milano reaches a historic milestone, rising to 29th position in Europe and 90th in the world in the Financial Times ranking. POLIMI Graduate School of Management , part of the School of Management of Politecnico di Milano, features in the Financial Times Global MBA 2026 Ranking , one of the most prestigious and selective international rankings dedicated to the top 100 MBAs worldwide. The business school is ranked 29th in Europe and 90th globally : a historic result that confirms the growth and international consolidation of the School in recent years. The ranking highlights improvements in the areas that have the greatest impact on the overall rating, in particular career progression, diversity and research/ESG. Among the most notable results is the growth in the weighted salary , which increased by 30% compared to the previous ranking, demonstrating the rising market value of MBA graduates. On the occasion of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science (11 February), Politecnico di Milano is launching the 2026 edition of Girls@Polimi , an initiative designed to encourage young women to explore STEM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) — fields in which a significant gender gap still persists — and to support them throughout their academic journey. This year, in addition to contributing to the scholarships awarded to future female engineers, our School will offer an additional opportunity: one of the Girls@Polimi scholarship recipients will have the chance to access our Full-Time MBA through a full‑tuition scholarship . This is a concrete commitment through which we aim to support female talent along the entire growth pathway, from engineering to managerial education. The Girls@Polimi initiative, launched by Politecnico di Milano in 2019, is aimed at female students in their fourth and fifth year of secondary school who are considering their university pathway. For the 2026/2027 academic year, 35 scholarships are available — each worth €24,000 (€8,000 per year) — and are reserved for students who intend to enrol in Engineering degree programmes with traditionally low female representation: Electronic Engineering; Computer Engineering; Mechanical Engineering; Electrical Engineering; Automation Engineering. In the Bloomberg Businessweek 2025-26 ranking , the Full-Time MBA programme has made a significant leap forward, securing 12th place among the best MBA programmes in Europe. This marks steady progress, as in recent years the School has consistently climbed in international evaluations. Compared with last year, the Full-Time MBA has risen by three positions, but if we look back two years – when the programme was ranked 19th – the overall improvement is seven positions in just 24 months.
