We act as a partner to students in shaping a career driven by a clear and well-defined purpose, supporting them in developing self-awareness of their value and enhancing professional and transversal skills to create a positive impact on society.

Who we are

The POLIMI GSoM Career Development Center brings together certified psychologists, professional coaches, former head hunters, and career consultants, each with over 10 years of experience in the field of human resources.

What we do

We support students in identifying the purpose that guides them in shaping their career journey.

We work with students to define their career goals and build a tailored strategic action plan.

We foster students’ awareness of how responsible professional behavior can generate a positive impact on society.

How we do it

We have developed a career management skills development program grounded in the European Career Management Skills (CMS) Framework.

The program is built around three key areas that support students along a structured and informed journey: developing full awareness of their professional profile (skills, experience, and potential), understanding the professional landscape, and implementing a career plan aligned with their career objectives.

Career consultancy

Define your career objectives and develop a strategic action plan through tailored one-to-one sessions with our Career Consultants. You will also have the opportunity to meet individually with headhunting companies to receive targeted feedback, expand your career perspectives, and gain a clearer understanding of your employability.

Workshop & labs

To strengthen core career management skills, we offer more than 20 workshops and a range of experiential labs each year, focused on key topics such as Building a Purposeful Career, Job Search Strategies, Personal Branding Canvas, Networking for Professional Success, and Managing Emotions in Careers.
Each activity is designed to provide practical tools and valuable insights, enabling students to navigate organizations and the job market with greater awareness. A progressive skills development journey that accompanies students throughout the entire Master program.

Networking

You will participate in meetings with top managers to broaden your perspectives and engage with HR representatives to explore organizational dynamics and labor market trends. Informal moments—such as networking aperitifs with international headhunting and executive search firms—provide strategic insights to navigate organizations and the job market effectively. Moreover, interaction with the POLIMI GSoM Alumni and Student Community encourages the sharing of ideas and best practices, strengthening your network and building valuable relationships for the future.
