Master in Strategic Design for Innovation and Transformation

Master in Strategic Design for Innovation and Transformation - POLIMI GSoM

Overview

Do you want to lead innovation and transformation through strategic design? This programme is designed for you.

In a business environment shaped by technological change, shifting consumer expectations and increasing complexity, organisations need leaders who can envision meaningful innovation, drive human-centric transformation and engage teams around a clear sense of purpose

The International Master in Strategic Design for Innovation and Transformation is a 14-month, part-time programme offered jointly by POLIMI Graduate School of Management and POLI.design. It equips both designers and managers with the skills to combine design thinking with analytical and managerial capabilities.

The curriculum is structured around four core areas: Innovation and Design, Leadership and Engagement, Data and Creativity, and Design Ops and Transformation. Learning is hands-on, with company visits, bootcamps and a final Project Work developed in collaboration with industry partners.

Programme structure

The programme combines online live sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays (19:00–21:30 CET) with face-to-face experiences including company visits, a cultural tour exploring Italian design heritage and visits to professional design labs.

The curriculum is built around four blocks:

  • Innovation and Design

  • Leadership and Engagement

  • Data and Creativity

  • Design Ops and Transformation
