FT Research Insights Ranking 2025: POLIMI School of Management ranks 31st worldwide for research impact and 2nd globally for SDG-related studies

POLIMI School of Management – of which POLIMI Graduate School of Management is a proud member – has confirmed its international excellence by ranking 31st worldwide in the Financial Times Research Insights 2025.
The ranking covered 179 international business schools, analysing scientific output published between 2020 and 2025 and assessing its quality, relevance, and reach, based on a broad set of indicators that go beyond traditional academic citations.
In addition to traditional academic citations, the Financial Times considered a range of broader indicators. These included:
- research credibility (Scite positive citation index);
- studies related to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs);
- impact on public policy and professional practice;
- media and online visibility (Overton, Altmetric, SSRN);
- productivity normalised according to faculty size.
In this context POLIMI School of Management achieved an exceptional milestone: 2nd place globally for SDG-related research, confirming a solid commitment to advancing knowledge on environmental sustainability, inclusion and responsible innovation.
As part of SoM, POLIMI Graduate School of Management actively contributes to this outcome by giving shape and voice to the knowledge produced by the School of Management, transforming it into learning paths that inspire personal growth, professional transformation, and conscious action.
