A year full of projects and initiatives for our School
The festive season is an ideal time to reflect on the goals achieved and look with enthusiasm towards future opportunities. This year that is ending has been extraordinary for our Business School, characterised by innovative projects and initiatives that confirm our commitment to preparing professionals, leaders and organisations to face change and generate a positive impact in the world.
First of all, we have worked hard on our PIE Plan – POLIMI Graduate School of Management’s new Strategic Plan 2024-2026 - the tool that will help us keep at the centre of our actions the desire to generate positive change in society through the education we offer.
We have also successfully completed the BSIS (Business School Impact System) Impact Assessment as the School of Management of Politecnico di Milano, which has helped us to become aware of the impact that our School generates for the community in which it operates, and to outline lines of action to further increase it.
The positioning obtained in the Positive Impact Rating has placed us among the best management schools in the world that contribute to the construction of a more equitable and inclusive future, with a result that makes us the only Italian institution to receive such a high recognition.
Furthermore, having transformed into a Benefit Corporation in 2023, this year we also produced our first Impact Report, with which we commit to annually sharing our objectives and results, focusing on the priorities of our stakeholders and on our purposes of common benefit.
This year has also been marked by projects and initiatives designed to respond to the challenges of the future. The second edition of Purpose Day, a one-of-a-kind event in Italy, was a great success with over 1,000 participants, consolidating our commitment to spreading awareness and sensitivity relating to a strategic theme for the future of organisations and our society. On that occasion, we launched IGNITE – The Leadership Renaissance, the first programme in Europe designed for CEOs, other C-levels and entrepreneurs, which addresses the topics of leadership and Purpose in an innovative and experiential way.
2024 was a year in which our Alumni Community was further strengthened, welcoming new members and broadening its horizons to reach the number of 22 Clubs, now also enriched by the introduction of International Chapters in China and Colombia. We celebrated this path of growth and connection during the Alumni Christmas Event, a fabulous evening that saw the involvement of over 350 alumni at PizzAut Monza, a place symbolising inclusiveness and solidarity, key values of our School.
Furthermore, since we are aware of the need to decouple our environmental impact from the continuous growth of the School, this year we launched the Conscious Training project, an initiative that aims to eliminate the environmental impact of training courses tailored for companies, consolidating our pioneering role in promoting sustainability.
Looking to the future, we are preparing for 2025 with many new projects and activities that demonstrate our commitment to building a better society through management training.
