Harvard HSIL Hackathon 2026: join the global event dedicated to AI solutions for healthcare

On 10 and 11 April 2026, Milan will be hosting the only Italian leg of the HSIL Hackathon 2026 – Building High-Value Health Systems: Leveraging AI, the international event promoted by the Health Systems Innovation Lab at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and dedicated to developing innovative solutions for the future of healthcare systems through artificial intelligence.

Thanks to the collaboration between the University of Milan, Politecnico di Milano, Federated Innovation @MIND, Human Technopole, and the Italian Society of Artificial Intelligence in Medicine (SIIAM), the Lombardy capital has been selected as the official hub for the project, which simultaneously involves numerous partner institutions around the world.

The initiative will take place at Fondazione Triulza, MIND – Milano Innovation District, a national reference point for innovation, research and technologies applied to healthcare.

A global hackathon to rethink healthcare systems

Each year, the HSIL Hackathon brings together hundreds of teams from across the globe to develop high-impact technological solutions, with a focus on innovative models for managing and improving healthcare systems.

During the two-day event, participants will be asked to:

• devise and develop adesign concept;
• build a project prototype.

The winning teams of the individual hubs will then access the Venture Incubation Program, a mentorship, training and project consolidation program, designed to guide the most promising ideas towards realisation.

Who can participate?

Participation is open to students, professionals and innovators of all ages.
You can sign up:

• as an existing team
• as an individual, in which case the organisation will establish the teams.

All Hackathon activities will be conducted in English.
