EcoVadis rating: POLIMI Graduate School of Management wins the silver medal for an increasingly sustainable school

POLIMI GSoM improves its score: the new result testifies to the continuous progress on the sustainability front

Being increasingly sustainable is a goal that must be achieved day by day and the results of this choice have been confirmed by the new EcoVadis rating, in which the school received a score of 68/100, winning the silver medal. This score places POLIMI GSoM in the 88th percentile among the best companies to have taken part in the same evaluation in the last twelve months. But above all, it represents an important step forward ─ the outcome of the choices and initiatives that are constantly being carried forward ─ compared to the result of the previous rating in 2023 in which it obtained a score of 53/100, with a bronze medal and a placement in the 58th percentile compared to the other participating companies.

Tangible progress for a strategic result

This progress recorded by EcoVadis shows that there is total adherence to sustainability on many fronts, from the environment to working conditions, ethics and suppliers. EcoVadis is one of the world's most recognised platforms for the evaluation of corporate sustainability. The move from the 58th to the 88th percentile is not only a testament to POLIMI GSoM’s continued dedication to sustainability, but also reflects an advancement that rewards all the choices made by the school. The 15-point increase over the previous year confirms our constant commitment to integrating more responsible and sustainable practices into our activities.

Sustainability is a never-ending journey

Over the past year, POLIMI GSoM has undertaken a series of initiatives to improve its business practices in the field of sustainability. However, the path had already been mapped out: the first sustainability plan, in fact, dates back to 2022, while in 2023 we became a Benefit Company. This strategy is underpinned by our purpose ─ We nurture innovators to shape a better future for all ─ which drives us to have a positive and lasting impact and which has allowed us to create an educational model aimed at building a better future for everyone. Monitoring carbon emissions, expanding collaborations with non-profit organisations, such as the Leave Your Mark project, and tracking the content related to the United Nations' 2030 Agenda Sustainability Development Goals in our programmes and courses, are just some of the initiatives that have contributed to this extraordinary achievement. Since 2022, collaborations have been developed with over 60 non-profit organisations and services, and activities have been implemented to make the School’s environment even more inclusive.

The EcoVadis rating is a new starting point

The important milestone demonstrated by the EcoVadis rating represents a further step along the path of sustainable growth that POLIMI GSoM is committed to pursuing. This success not only strengthens our school's position as a leader in responsible management training, but also marks a starting point for achieving new sustainability goals in the future.
