Applications for the sixth edition of 'The China School' are now open - POLIMI GSoM

This year, the central theme will be “The rise of Hi-Tech in China: strategies, protagonists and prospects”.

The Summer School programme for “The China School”, an initiative organised in collaboration with the Center for the Study of Contemporary China (CSCC), has been officially launched. This summer school offers a unique opportunity to explore and understand the economic and technological transformations that are shaping China, one of the world’s most influential economic powers.

The programme, which will take place from 14 to 28 July 2025, will be run over a two-week period and will be held in three different cities: Milan, Beijing and Shanghai. The first part of the programme will take place in Milan at PoliHub, the Innovation Park & Startup Accelerator of Politecnico di Milano, where participants will be able to attend lectures given by internationally renowned experts in the fields of Chinese studies and the global economy. The group will then fly to China to participate in company visits, guided tours and meetings with representatives of major organisations. The meetings will be career-oriented, giving participants the opportunity to come into direct contact with global players operating in China.

The main theme of the Summer School’s sixth edition will be the technological rise of China and its impact on the development of the Chinese and global economy. Participants will have the opportunity to analyse how Chinese innovations are influencing not only the domestic economy, but also the global capitalist system, through advanced technologies and the rapid development of high-tech sectors.

The Summer School is an unmissable opportunity for those who wish to deepen their knowledge of China’s economic and technological dynamics, both from a theoretical and practical point of view. To ensure a high-quality and interactive learning experience, the number of participants is limited to 30.

Registrations are open until 30 April 2025. For more details on the programme, how to join and further information, please visit the official website https://www.thechinaschool.it/
