Wellbeing and mental health: support services for POLIMI GSoM students

Wellbeing is an important aspect of our students’ experience and POLIMI Graduate School of Management wants to be an active partner in promoting it.
Professional growth goes hand in hand with personal growth and, for this reason, starting from last year, we decided to offer a service dedicated to mental health in collaboration with the Dialogica Lab, a social enterprise founded in 2006 to promote health and social cohesion. This programme includes an individual psychological support service and a series of thematic workshops aimed at providing practical tools for managing the challenges of academic and professional life.
Individual psychological support service: what it consists of
- Students can access a free psychological support service that includes up to four individual sessions of approximately 60 minutes each with a qualified DialogicaLab professional. The sessions can be held in person or online, both in Italian and English. This service is designed for those who are going through a difficult time in their life and are constantly feeling overwhelmed, those who want to take care of their psychological wellbeing, and those who want to acquire new skills and coping strategies that can help manage complex personal circumstances effectively.
Thematic workshops: a practical path to improve your wellbeing
In addition to the individual support, POLIMI GSoM has organised three interactive workshops this year to delve into key issues related to mental wellbeing.
The first workshop, entitled “Lost in translation? Find out your wellbeing!”, focused on the theme of cultural shock and difficulties in adapting to new contexts, with the aim of providing the skills needed to learn how to transform unmet expectations into growth.
The second workshop, entitled “Anxiety? Let’s talk!”, was aimed at those who wished to better understand and manage anxiety through the power of asking the right questions, transforming the way we perceive and deal with our emotions.
The third and final workshop, entitled “Reframe the stress-wall between you and wellbeing”, explored how, in the face of constant deadlines, demands and change, stress can be managed and transformed into a resource, building effective strategies to address daily challenges.
A real commitment to the wellbeing of our students
Through these services, POLIMI GSoM is committed to creating a healthy, attentive and inclusive learning environment, where every student can feel supported not only in their academic path, but also personally.
