Double Degree and Joint Programme

The opportunity to obtain two or more degrees through programs designed to increase students’ international exposure and to enhance the specific strengths of each international partner.

We work with our partners to offer those who study with us international opportunities and to promote high-quality initiatives for the entire community. These are the pillars of our strategy to create an authentically global environment.

Joint Programme

One or more degrees awarded at the conclusion of the customized joint program, developed through collaboration between partner institutions.

With a minimum duration of one year and with courses delivered in part by the partner institution(s), the program offers highly integrated content throughout the entire learning journey.
Upon completion, participants are awarded a degree issued by the partner institution and a qualification conferred by Politecnico di Milano (e.g. the 1st Level Specialising Master Degree – Master Universitario di I livello).

1+1 Double Degree

One unique experience, two countries, two degrees.

The program is structured into two distinct tracks. At the end of the first year of our master’s program, participants may continue with a second year at a partner university or business school, earning a second degree in addition to the 1st Level Specialising Master Degree (Master Universitario di I livello) awarded by Politecnico di Milano.
Likewise, participants from partner institutions may complete their educational pathway by attending selected master’s programs at POLIMI Graduate School of Management and obtain the 1st Level Specialising Master Degree alongside the qualification awarded by their home institution.

Executive PhD with Tsinghua University

DBA / Executive PhD in Innovation

The DBA / Executive PhD in Innovation is a 3–4 year research program aimed at senior executives, managers, and entrepreneurs operating across different sectors. Its goal is to equip participants with the skills needed to drive innovation by leveraging approaches and tools drawn from scientific research.

This program is part of a broader and highly strategic context for both our countries (Italy and China): the China–Italy Design Innovation Hub. It is the largest Tsinghua University innovation hub in Europe, co-founded by Politecnico di Milano and Tsinghua University in 2017, in the presence of the Presidents of the respective countries, Sergio Mattarella and Xi Jinping. The Hub is dedicated to research and the education of talent and innovative leaders of the future.

Within this program, POLIMI Graduate School of Management supports the management and delivery of the educational modules and organizes an in-person Study Tour in Milan each year, lasting approximately one week. This “immersion” experience is designed to combine classroom-based discussions with more experiential moments—such as company visits—in order to create unique opportunities for sharing, engagement, and brand awareness.
