At the conclusion of your MBA journey, how do you want to have a positive impact on the organisation you work for?
My MBA helped me contribute more effectively to my organisation by giving me the confidence and perspective to face complex challenges with greater awareness and a broader view. Throughout the programme, I had the opportunity to step back from my day-to-day responsibilities and look at my professional experience from a different perspective. This allowed me to connect what I had learned in the past with new ideas, approaches and ways of thinking.
In this sense, the MBA became a real catalyst for my previous experiences. It helped me recognise the strengths I had already developed and, at the same time, understand how I could use them more effectively. I learned to approach challenges not only by looking for the right technical or strategic solution, but also by considering the people involved, their perspectives and the wider impact of the decisions I make.
This has helped me develop an approach to work that tries to balance professional with human values. I believe that creating a positive impact within an organisation ultimately means being able to deliver results while also creating an environment where people can contribute, grow and feel part of a shared purpose. This is the kind of impact I hope to continue creating in my organisation.
What are the main tools you have acquired during the MBA that have helped you become a purposeful leader?
Beyond the technical knowledge, strategic frameworks and business tools, the MBA gave me something I consider even more valuable: a better understanding of myself and of the kind of leader I want to become. The programme challenged me to step outside my comfort zone, question some of my assumptions and reflect on my aspirations, expectations and personal values.
Among the soft skills I worked on, active listening has probably had the greatest impact on me. Learning to genuinely listen, rather than simply waiting for my turn to speak, has changed the way I interact with colleagues and approach different points of view. It has taught me that leadership is not always about having the answers, but often about asking the right questions, creating space for others and understanding what motivates people.
At the same time, the MBA gave me the technical foundations and the confidence to know where to look for the knowledge and tools I need when facing a new challenge. This combination of technical competence, self-awareness and empathy has helped me become more intentional in the way I make decisions.
Looking back, I see the MBA as a pivotal experience, not only from a career perspective but also from a personal one. I will always cherish it for what I learned, but even more for the people I met, the conversations I had and the relationships I built throughout the journey. Those experiences have become an important part of who I am as a professional and as a person.
