Our world is going through a time of enormous flux, so why not take advantage of it? Our ever-growing digitalisation of activities and hyper-connected systems means that cybersecurity is becoming more and more relevant in all organisations.

This spread of ICT has dramatically increased different security risks, like loss of confidentiality, data integrity and data availability. Of course, this can potentially have a huge financial impact, sometimes putting the survival of the organisation itself at risk.
With this Master, we get you ready for a leadership role that strengthens organisations by understanding cybersecurity risks, their possible impact on the business, as well as possible countermeasures. We also include important details about governance, compliance, and regulatory issues.
Through experiential learning, case study analysis, and information about leading security technologies taught by expert faculty members, you’ll build key management skills for modern corporate cybersecurity planning.

Four international Master programmes come under the heading of Digital Transformation:

The above courses comprise modules of a collective-interest nature, during which students will together study topics relevant to the overall theme; after this they diverge, each offering modules specific to the relevant subject area.

We are a business school within a technical university: that means we give you the perfect balance between a technological and a managerial approach.

You will learn from practitioners, through direct contact with companies and managers.

We have innovative teaching methods, with a smart-learning and project-based approach, and we use plenty of real case studies.

  • 1 year: 9 months in class + 3-month project
  • 100% in English
  • In partnership with Bip and SETA

Our Master is also developed in close collaboration with AccentureIntesa (an IBM Company) and PwC.

  1. It’s a hot topic for all top managers (and policy makers). Up until now, the cybersecurity market has grown by roughly 35x over the past 13 years and is expected to continue growing!
  2. In the future, managers will prioritise cyber-risk mitigation as a key lever for the sustainable long-term success of their company. That means cyber risk will become a top priority that isn’t yet fully covered by companies. Today, 88% of managers present cybersecurity projects as a priority for their companies.
  3. But the thing is, there’s a shortage of cybersecurity skills. These are essential skills for both consultancy and corporate firms – the market needs to understand cybersecurity technology and use it in a managerial and innovative way. A survey even said that around one fifth of public sector organisations lack skills in this field, and in 85% of cases they are covered through external collaborators.

We’ve aimed this programme towards students who have a clear approach to innovation and entrepreneurship. If you come from a multidisciplinary background, and you are willing to increase or develop your technical skills in the cybersecurity area, then this might just be the Master for you. You should also want to boost your technical profile with the ability to read business dynamics, understand the implications of decisions for business and operate with the purpose of mitigating overall enterprise risk.

Our Master is open to anyone who is willing to develop key management skills to become a cybersecurity professional.

So what are you waiting for? The demand for highly skilled cybersecurity professionals is growing significantly as the field becomes more and more relevant in all organisations. Cybersecurity Ventures predicted that by 2021, there would be 3.5 million unfilled cybersecurity jobs throughout the world. We think it’s time to get trained up and take advantage of the demand!

Our International Master in Cybersecurity Management is a 12-month International Master programme offered by us at POLIMI GSoM, in partnership with Bip and Seta.

This master is part of the Digital Transformation portfolio. All Masters relating to Digital Transformation have a series of courses in common and differ for the stream of specialisation – cybersecurity in this case.

Through this Master we will boost your technical skills in the cybersecurity area.

You’ll learn to read business dynamics, understand the implications of business decisions, and operate with the purpose of mitigating the overall business risk. Our Master is also developed in close collaboration with Accenture, Intesa (an IBM Company) and PwC.

We teach this master entirely in English.

Please note that we’ve designed this programme for recent graduates with ideally no more than 3 years of work experience. If you have more experience, you might also like to take a look at our International MBA programmes.
