Humans, Technologies and Complexity

We are thrilled to announce the return of the most exclusive and eagerly awaited event for our community of alumni: the Alumni Summer Gala 2025! The event will take place on Thursday, 26 June 2025 at the evocative Teatro Nazionale di Milano, starting at 6.45 pm.

During the evening, Fabio Sdogati, Professor of International Economics at Politecnico di Milano, will give a talk titled “In Praise of Complexity”, reflecting on the contradictions of mainstream economic theory and current geopolitical dynamics.

Following this, there will be a roundtable discussion moderated by Luciano Traquandi, Director of the Spirituality and Management program at POLIMI GSoM and Professor of Business Psychosociology, on the theme “Humans, Technologies and Complexity.”
Participants will include:

  • Giorgio Bonaccorso, Benedictine monk and professor at the Institute of Pastoral Liturgy of Santa Giustina, who will guide us in exploring the human being as a complex entity between ethics, psychology, and spirituality;
  • Maria Grazia Davino, Regional Managing Director of BYD Europe, who will delve into the challenge of complexity in the world of global business;
  • Raffaella Cagliano, Academic Director of the School of Management at Politecnico di Milano, who will illustrate how teaching and research are evolving to address the relationship between humans and technology.

During the event, we will celebrate the talent and impact of our former students by presenting the Alumni Awards in the following categories:

  • Innovation Alumni Award
  • Entrepreneurship Alumni Award
  • Sustainability & Impact Alumni Award

The evening will end with a networking aperitif accompanied by live music, creating the ideal atmosphere to meet old friends, expand your network of contacts and share unique moments as you mingle with our guests and alumni.

Don't miss this extraordinary opportunity to immerse yourself in the beauty of the Teatro Nazionale di Milano and discuss cutting-edge issues with the entire community.
