Programme

Students with a 3- or 4-year bachelor’s degree (minimum 180 ECTS) or higher are eligible to apply. Knowledge of English is a compulsory requirement.

The programmes are usually 12 months long, although there are some exceptions.

You can find more information about the exact length of each programme in the dedicated webpages.

We hold the programme in English, but we also understand the importance of learning the native language of the country of study. That’s why we also give you language learning opportunities during your Master.

Italian isn’t necessary, because the course is held entirely in English, but we do give you optional classes.

The average class size is usually around 15-35 students, even though exceptions may occur.

No, but the average age of the candidates is 20-25 years.

SINGLE DEGREE PROGRAMMES

When you graduate from a single degree programme, you’ll get a First Level University Specialising Master from the Politecnico di Milano which is recognised by the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research (MIUR). This is issued under the autonomous responsibility of the Politecnico di Milano.

But what does “1st level Master degree” mean? Well, as per the Bologna process, this is a 2nd cycle programme that gives you further specialisation or higher education after you have finished the first cycle. A first level Master Degree will give you 60 ECTS/CFU credits.

We do ask that you check the validity/recognition of this title with the relevant authorities in your home country.

DOUBLE DEGREE PROGRAMMES

When you graduate from a double degree programme, you’ll get a Master of Science from our partner Schools and a First Level University Specialising Master Degree from the Politecnico di Milano.

Not at all, we will give you all the textbooks you need, and the cost is included as part of the overall programme fee.

Admissions

Please note that we process applications on a rolling basis, which means that they may close even before this deadline. This is because of the limited number of seats available in the class.

We don’t have a specific format for the recommendation letters, but if you need any help finding the ideal template for your application, feel free to contact us at infomasters@gsom.polimi.it and we can help you out.
