AMBA-BGA-Excellence-Awards-16_9

We are proud to announce that again this year, we will be participating in the AMBA & BGA Excellence Awards. The awards bring together the leading lights of the global business education community to celebrate excellence among Business Schools, students, graduates, suppliers, and employers that share AMBA & BGA’s values of ambition, impact and integrity.

This is a fantastic way to tell the world about the great initiatives our school has launched.

We are among the shortlisted finalists in three categories: MBA Startup of the Year, Best Business School Partnership and Best CSR and Sustainability Initiative.

Let’s discover more about these amazing projects!

MBA Startup of the Year — Luca Renzi, with iZ Renewable Luxury

Preserving natural capital and creating social value is iZ’s ambition, aligned with Gen Z’s mission: to create sustainable value globally.

Our MBA alumnus Luca Renzi is developing the iZ Precious community, built around an international and voluntary based standard that through a traceable and sustainable certified supply chain provides jewellery, watches, and fashion accessories brands with gold and silver recovered from electronic products that today end up in landfills or are managed under conditions of exploitation, causing social problems.

iZ Precious will develop social initiatives local communities can benefit from and work with the members to reduce the CO2 impact of the recovering process. Consumers will therefore buy a product with a powerful story behind.

This is the story of iZ Precious® metals committed to generate a positive impact on people and the environment.

Best Business School Partnership — The Mind at Work

POLIMI Graduate School of Management launched a pioneering partnership with The Mind at Work to elevate the purpose of management education, enable its students and alumni to take a leading role in addressing today’s global challenges, and reorient the purpose of businesses and their leaders from profit maximisation towards shaping a better future for all. From 2019 to 2022, the partnership has delivered a profound and widespread transformation, creating remarkable benefits for our students, faculty, alumni, corporate and research communities, ultimately demonstrating that business schools can play a key role towards creating a more sustainable and inclusive society.

Best CSR and Sustainability Initiative — ‘Training initiatives to support Ukrainian students in dealing with these difficult times and to be prepared to rebuild their country’

We believe education has a key role to play in preparing business leaders to address the most pressing challenges of our society. As a business school, we also believe that we can play an important part in shaping a better world for all.

These convictions led us to reflect on how we could support students from Ukrainian higher education institutions as they face the difficult times they have been experiencing over recent months and in preparing themselves for the new environment after the war ends. Our answer was to offer pro bono training activities to students from three local institutions.

We can’t wait to attend the awards ceremony on December 9th, in London!
