The Faculty Lunch initiative has been renewed: a space for dialogue to encourage discussion between students and professors

At POLIMI Graduate School of Management we believe that learning is not limited to the classroom. For this reason, we have renewed the Faculty Lunch initiative, which is aimed at encouraging direct and informal discussions between students and professors.
This valuable event designed for Junior Specialising Masters and Full-Time MBA students has the aim of creating moments of authentic exchange, outside the traditional academic context. Each meeting takes place during the lunch break in a relaxed and convivial atmosphere, at our Bovisa and Navigli campuses.
The format is simple but effective: a small group of students shares lunch with a professor in an informal context that encourages open conversation, the sharing of professional experiences and perspectives, and the building of more direct and meaningful relationships.
The Faculty Lunch is part of the vision of strengthening our Community, fostering meaningful connections between key players in the life of our School: students and professors.
“These lunches are a great opportunity to create connections that go beyond the school environment and allow us to get to know the person behind the professional better,” commented Daniel Trabucchi, Director of the International Part-time MBA and one of the initiative’s protagonists.
The events were attended by many Faculty members, including our President, Vittorio Chiesa, our Dean, Federico Frattini, and our Associate Deans, Antonella Moretto, Mauro Mancini, Sergio Terzi and Tommaso Agasisti, demonstrating the enthusiasm, commitment and desire to share of our academic community. Each meeting represented a unique opportunity to explore topics related to career, innovation, leadership, and professional and personal growth.
“The lunch with the professors was a valuable opportunity to engage with the Faculty members and forge bonds with other students. It was a great way to expand my network of contacts - an increasingly important aspect - and to acquire a broader vision of the job market, alternative academic pathways and School initiatives”, said Vincenzo Casciaro, one of our Full-time MBA students.
The success of the Faculty Lunch confirms the importance of creating spaces for authentic dialogue within our institution. It is an initiative that contributes to strengthening the sense of community, as well as increasing the quality of the educational experience offered by our Business School.
